Lawsuits by detransitioners are beginning to be filed. Three have already been filed against Kaiser in California and a few in other states around the country. It will take some time for detransitioners to become aware of which professional malpractice law firms are willing to take these lawsuits on. Washington University's Gender Clinic has announced that it will no longer give puberty blockers, cross sex hormones or surgeries to minors, on the advice of its loss control legal advisers because it is expected that many lawsuits will be forthcoming. There is no doubt that medical malpractice insurers will soon appreciate that they will face huge losses by continuing to insure doctors who perform "gender affirming"surgeries. That has already happened in Australia. And Democrat controlled legislatures in California, Oregon and Washington are aware that malpractice insurers may start "penalizing" gender clinic doctors, and have actually passed laws prohibiting malpractice insurers from doing that by increasing premiums charged to such doctors or refusing to cover such doctors. BUT nothing can force malpractice insurers to continue to offer insurance in states that do that! So before long malpractice insurers will stop offering insurance to all doctors in states like California, Oregon and Washington, which of course means that the remaining insurers will raise the premiums they charge to ALL doctors in those states. And THEN all doctors will realize that they have a stake in what gender clinics are doing, and cannot simply turn a blind eye because they themselves do not engage in "gender affirming" medicine.
