I had all 6 as well. Puberty was terrifying. Now I am a mom with a husband I adore (pretty boy collegic soccer player who is always put together 😂), and our 2 kids who are my world. As the universe has a sense of humor, I also have natural 32DD’s. And muscles because I look like a blonde hair blue eyed typical soccer mom, but I’m still a tomboy that hates pink, loves to play hard, and I still don’t get plastic dolls.
What is happening to children with gender theory is cruel. Telling fabulous boys they are really girls is cruel. Telling strong girls who like trucks and mud they are really boys is cruel.
It is a sad life, shortened by loneliness and big pharma subscriptions, for those who persist in gender dysphoria past the age of 25. I am all for allowing adults to do whatever they want, so long as those with a functioning penis don’t think they have a right to demand my daughter as a college roommate or prance around naked in pool changing rooms with young girls. We have separate spaces because of biology, not self proclaimed identity.
In 2-3 decades we will return to acknowledging both immutable biological reality, and the cruelty of trying to force little children who don’t fit stereotypes to mutilate their bodies long before anyone can know who they will be or what they will want as adults. This is not the first time society has allowed others to turn little boys into eunichs or mutilated the genitals of little girls. It’s cruel, always has been, always will be.
"There appears to be no other objective standards: no blood tests, no MRI, no other diagnostic tools available to diagnose this, other than the patient’s word."
Since true transsexualism is, in essence, a birth defect in which the brain does not develop to be the same sex as the reproductive organs, since this defect can be alleviated with hormonal and surgical treatment, and since this has been known and supported by research since the 1960s, I would think that, if this is a prevalent malformation, there should be a major research effort to establish a panoply of objective standards.
Relying on the patient's word may be sufficient for an adult who has passed through puberty and young adulthood with all of the attendant social interactions. Relying on the word of a youth or teenager or young adult, all of whom are naive to the world and whose brains are not completely developed seepms to border on the criminal.
The study about mental health use after surgery was corrected. There wasn't a benefit shown after surgery either.https://segm.org/ajp_correction_2020
Also, the regret rates aren't known to be small except in an old Swedish study for people average age 30 who had a 3 year process and had to be sterilized first. otherwise the numbers aren't worth much.
We have known this for decades until recently when woke contamination from sociopaths created a social contagion that is destroying lives. Some of those damaged people are now helping others. We will look back on this episode as a tragic moment when much of the world was fooled and/or exploited by delusional and dark, often mercenary forces who presented as virtuous.
“Although proponents of puberty blockers claim that puberty is “traumatic” for children with gender dysphoria, I think, quite frankly, that puberty is a troubling (and often traumatic) time for everyone.”
This!!! The word “trauma” has unfortunately been trivialized of late, and kids these days (yep I said it, guess I’m old) seem to be “traumatized” at the drop of a hat. Puberty is going to be uncomfortable for just about everyone, dysphoric or dysmorphic or not. Change can be painful, but the changes that come with puberty are a critical part of human development. So sad and scary that people can’t seem to deal with this.
"I wonder if, at a more primitive stage of our evolution, we were wired to have a specific sex identity. We don't need a wired sex identity anymore, because we can just look at our bodies and see what sex we are..."
Of course, we were so wired ... and still are. All mammals have sex-specific behaviors because they have sex-specific brains. Male and female mammals behave differently. One need only to recognize the different male and female reproductive cycles which are controlled by the hypothalamus of the brain. There are anatomical differences in other brain regions, though the human research is not clear what those anatomically different regions control nor when they develop.
Sex organs, of which the brain is one (or, rather, the brain regions are ) develop at different times during development. The general rule is that all mammalian sex organs (gonads, internal "plumbing", external parts, and brain regions) ALL begin as indifferent structures. IF an external chemical signal is sent in the proper amount, received by the target structure, and acted upon at the proper time, a structure develops as male. If not, female is the default.
After the indifferent gonads have begun to develop as male testes or female ovaries, the signalling molecule is testosterone produced by the male testes. Absent testosterone in the right amount at the right time and properly received and acted upon, the target indifferent structure develops as FEMALE. If the target structure receives enough testosterone at the right time and responds properly, the indifferent structure develops as MALE.
An overactive adrenal gland in the mother or certain ingested molecules or a sloppy response by the targeted tissues can mess up this complicated signalling system and lead to mixed up results, as can genetic differences in the fetus. -TK-
Development of every organ is very complicated which is why most conceptions are spontaneously aborted and of we few who get born, we precious few, about 90% have some sort of birth abnormality. That abnormality may be serious, like a big hole in the heart or a severely malformed brain that leads to retardation, or it may be trivial, like a birthmark on the back or minor hypospadia that can be easily corrected with a nip and tuck (Hypospadia is a birth defect in boys in which the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis. In boys with hypospadias, the urethra forms abnormally during weeks 8–14 of pregnancy. The abnormal opening can form anywhere from just below the end of the penis to the scrotum.)
Some of us win the developmental lottery; some lose big time; most simply "push".

Truth. Thank you.
I love what your wrote. It's spot on. Thank you for articulating this so beautifully.
